Fixed comun size? (638)

#1 Post by mauri_va » 17.11.2013, 17:31

Sorry for this stupid question, but I don't know if is possibile to fix the column size in all the panels.
I've searched in settings but not find how.
Someone can help me?
The "autosize" column is very annoying in all the folder where are files with long names, so other columns is pushed out the panel.
I know is a stupid question, but I don't know how to do...

For details view
Tools - Settings - View - Column profiles - fc_default_view - button "Define columns" - uncheck "Autosize for "Name" column"

Many thanks for the answer!
I found the option, but I got this problem: the new setting is not saved!
I execute Freecommander in portable version from a secondary HDD on my pc, but also if I run as administrator the program, settings are not saved (specially THIS setting).
Why this?

Nobody can help me?
There is something that I must to check in my FreeCommander settings?
I can't understand why the option is not saved. Other settings seems to be saved...
This behaviour on column is present also in last public beta (641).

Ok, I find the solution.
As Timon reported in his post, it is necessary to uncheck this option:
Tools - Settings - View - Column profiles - fc_default_view - button "Define columns" - "Autosize" for "Name" column"
but is not enough!
You must specify a width size: in my version the default value was 0, when I set a value for this option all is ok!
