XnView in QuickViewer

#1 Post by BGM » 01.05.2015, 00:20

Is there a way to use XnView within the quickview - that is, use xnview for displaying a file in the other panel the way you can with the internal viewer?

What I'm after is this:
QuickView a pdf file inside of FC without opening another program window.

Xnview can open nearly anything.
I tried adding XnView to the "Viewers" panel in the settings under "Programs/Viewers" and put "jpg" for the filter but it opens instead with the plugins of the quickview.

Ah, I found the 64bit sLister plugin to show pdf files - and it works very well.
Still, I wonder about using XnView as an internal quickviewer.

+1 Don't know if it's possible, but the idea has great merit.

One thing that makes me ask this is that in the Configuration for the Viewer within FC, in the Multimedia tab, there is an area for "Graphic Libraries" with a checkbox for "Use Irfanview/XnView to load changes".

And you can specify a list of file extensions

I just now saw that it says XnView there - haha - I always read Irfanview before...

Anyway, I'm not sure what this does, but it seems to involve XnView and the Viewer.

It uses XNView to load graphic formats, just like in TC's case:

Mine still opens in FC's external viewer.

But that's not what I want anyway... I can just double-click the file to open a file in XnView anyway.
