With the latest beta of 692, the "Downloads" Folder was added.
So I decided I would change the location of the Windows Downloads folder to my own location
If you open Windows Explorer and type
shell:UsersFilesFolder
then you will see all the user folders.
So I clicked on properties for the Downloads folder and changed the location:
However, FreeCommander's S-Button for "Downloads" still looks for c:\users\%username%\Downloads.
I suppose it's programmed that way in FC to use the username as part of the file path instead of picking up the locations given in the UserFilesFolders.
even though Explorer knows the right location.
This isn't a bug, and I don't know how FC would figure out the location of the folder if the user changed it systemwide like I did.

AH - scratch that -
I had to restart FreeCommander for the change to take effect.
It works perfectly.
And now you know how to change your system's default download folder location.
