I installed the latest 64 bit beta on a laptop running Windows 8.1 and a desktop running windows 7. I use shift and left-mouse to select several files (or ctrl and left-mouse for non contiguous files). I wish to unselect one of them. The Win 8.1 laptop lets me ctrl-click the file I want to deselect and does that.. But the Windows 7 does not deselect the file; it remains selected.
It may have nothing to do with the version of windows. I may have changed a setting in FC by accident. Note that the trl click deselect still works in Powerdesk 6 so it is not the computer itself.
Any suggestions?
cannot unselect with ctrl-click
Re: cannot unselect with ctrl-click
I cannot reproduce the problem on my Windows 7 box using "FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 720 64-bit donor".
You could compare the config files from both your computers ("AppData\Local\FreeCommanderXE\Settings\") using WinMerge.

Re: cannot unselect with ctrl-click
I started my configuration all over and it is fine. Thanks.

Re: cannot unselect with ctrl-click
Maybe you can use the NC-Mode for such selection-tasks.
Settings> Select Items> NC-Mode
Settings> Select Items> NC-Mode
