I've been using the the portable app version of freecommander for several years and I love it. So after the latest update of that version to 2017, I decided to make a donation to get the latest builds and the 64 bit version. I would like to update my portable app version to use the 64 bit one. Is this as simple as extracting the 64-bit portable zip file into this directory ..\PortableApps\FreeCommanderPortable\App\FreeCommanderXE or is there more?
Thanks
Ken
Replace Portable app version with 64 bit version
Re: Replace Portable app version with 64 bit version
Yes, you can copy 64-bit portable zip file into this directory ..\PortableApps\FreeCommanderPortable\App\FreeCommanderXE with one exception:
do not overwrite the file fcstart.ini.

Re: Replace Portable app version with 64 bit version
I have made the switch and everything seems to be working, except that trying to open the settings dialog causes the program to exit. If this is a known bug, I will move this to the bug forum.
Thanks
