#1 Post by JonNorway » 14.11.2019, 15:30

Hi.
Here is a message that has been a problem for years and one of the reasons that I do not use Freecommander very often.
I am trying to move selected items from left window to right window.

FreeCommander
Your settings are set to overwrite some files.
Are you sure you want use this operation?
You will be not asked again in this session if you answer with
"yes".

I am asked every time, so the message is also wrong.
Even if I do not overwrite this message appear also.
How to get rid of it completely.
Please help.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

It works for me as expected.
The message appears only if you
- use FreeCommander function for copy/move
- use the command "Copy" (Shift+F5 with default settings)
- have saved the copy options (with e.g. 'Overwrite all') in the copy dialog on "Settings" tab with the button "Save dialog options for operation without dialog"

After program start if you make copy/move operation (configured as above) the message you have described can be displayed.
If the answer to the message is yes, the message will not be displayed until the program is restarted.

Thanks Marek, for your kind answer.
Now things have become more complicated.
I tried Shift+F6 on normal folders and it worked as expected.
However on C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs I had to take ownership first and then it worked normal in Windows Explorer.
In Freecommander I get stuck with the message below and cannot find a way out.
Please help.
