R508--setting Show Files Tooltip -- is it enabled?

The setting appears to be enabled (not grayed-out), but selecting it does nothing.

It seems to work for me (Win7/64 and XP). You should point with the mouse cursor on the caption text.

It works sometimes here, it doesn't work on selected/active item and others too, random, strange. It's also too slow IMHO, about 1-1.5 sec. Vista 32 bit.

On my Vista 32bit it works correctly, but I confirm that it's much too slow (> 1 sec).

This little bug is very annoying!

FCXE 610 on win7x64sp1; dual panel; details view; full row select disabled; show files tooltip enabled.

Quick method to replicate:
  • 1. select a file in one panel -> tooltip appears while hovering the selected item
    2. move the mouse pointer over to the other panel; don't click, only hover a file there -> tooltip appears
    3. move the mouse back directly over the previously selected file in the first panel -> no tooltip.
Workaround: hover other file in first panel (so its tooltip appears) and then hover the first selected file -> tooltip appears.
