Current directory is not saved when changing drive

Version: FC XE 551
OS: XP, Professional, SP2

in a FC window,

- I start from a folder (e.g. D:\Folder1\)
- I navigate to a folder of the same drive (e.g. D:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3\)
- I change drive (via Shift + <Drive Letter>)
- I go back to the original drive D: (Shift+D)

the folder is again the first one D:\Folder1\
This happens mainly where the "original drive" (D:\) is a network mapped folder; this (seems to) work on local drives
