Folders with System attribute are invisible + black tabs

#1 Post by mgagnonlv » 09.12.2011, 19:54

To see what I mean, try to look at the content of a drive with custom icons such as those on PortableApps.com. For a try, install http://portableapps.com on a USB key or external drive, then look at the directory via FreeCommander XE. The following folders won't be seen:
Documents, Video, Music, Photos, PortableApps. which are all those folders with a custom icon.

There is a workaround:
Go to Extras –°> Serttings –> View/File/Folder list –> General, then click "Show system files"
I think this option should be enabled by default, just as it was in the 2009 version.

On another issue, it looks great on my Windows 7 platform (blueish background), but awful on my Windows XP which as dark grey title bars. Whereas Windows XP then defaults to white text in windows title bars, FreeCommander XE uses black text in the tabs. And black on charcoal grey is hard to read...

Thanks.
