Active Panel switches from Left to Right after Deleting a fi

When both panels have the same folder as their current folder, after deleting from the Left hand Panel the Right hand panel becomes the active panel.

This opposite is NOT the case when deleting from the Right hand panel.

This is also NOT the case when both panels have the same folder, but only one of them is the current folder.
