Strange behavior when folder tree display is on

If I have the folder tree display on, the active panel will go back to the root directory immediately after I change a folder name. This is quite annoying--why would I want to go to the root every time I change a folder name?
Once I turn off the folder tree display, I no longer have the problem.

I confirm the same behaviour. Using version 613

I don't have this problem; I can rename a folder ("change a folder name") in either the tree or the active pane, and the focus does not change (does not jump to the root directory). FCXE 613, Win7 x64.

I tried it with each of the three options for Base Folder (Settings > Tree > Management tab): Desktop, Computer, or Drive.

There may be some other setting which is influencing the problem, but if so, it's not set on my computer.
