Rel314:Renaming a file with 2 same extension will remove one

#1 Post by Mr-Fly » 12.01.2008, 17:05

Hi.

if I hit F2 on a file that has two times the same extension,
eg: "test.txt.txt", freecommander will remove the second .txt autmatically if I just hit ok in the dialog.

I dont think that this is intended ?
It does not do it eg. with "test.aaa.txt"

Regards
Thorsten

I can confirm the bug, only if dialog for rename option is enabled and "use only one field" is disabled.

FC 314, Win XP SP2.

Sorry, you are right, forgot to mention that.

It will only remove it, when you dont use "use only one field"

This seems to be fixed mostly.
Except try this:
start with "Use only one field" unselected.
select a file like "test.txt.txt".
It will work out, that the name is "test.txt" and the extension is TXT.
Good so far.
Now select "Use only one field", file stays "test.txt.txt" with test.txt selected.
If you now deselect "Use only one field" again, the second extension is gone.
