false popping up message when renaming a file with not ac...

#1 Post by sdb » 17.04.2014, 15:21

When trying to rename a file with a name containing a character like “/” that is not accepted,
a message pops up “The ….(folder in that the file is within) folder does not exist. The file might have been moved or deleted. Do you want to create it?”

This message does not correspond correctly with the cause of failure.

Instead it should pop up a message like “Sorry, this character is not accepted in a file name. Try without this character”.

addendum: Fe XE absolute awesome for file handling.

I'd also like to see this changed, but I don't think it's a bug and it's not x64 only.
