I set the 'Queue button as default' in FCXE - so I queue every copy action by default.
if there is only ONE single copy/move action going on I can't terminate this action because all icons in 'Queue dialog' are greyed out.

sometimes pretty annoying - especially when there are really large files and you realize that they are being copied to an unwanted destination.

I'm not sure if this is a bug. You can cancel the current operation using the actual Copy/Move dialog (possibly minimized).

I have requested few improvements for the Queue option, some could work as workaround for this issue, more here.

Oh, I didn't realize this - shame on me.

I guess I'll have to post a feature request then.
