When trying to access the settings when running as a portable app the program closes. This occurs in build 740 and newer in both 32-bit public and 64-bit donor versions on Windows 7 SP1 64 bit. I have not tested this bug on a full install. I have re-installed the app to see if that would resolve the problem.
Thanks.

Popups the exception dialog?
If no, have you checked Windows event log?
Try to open single pages with right click on UI elements.
Can you open the tree (Alt+T)?

There are no exception or error dialogs. The program just terminates.
I would not know what I was looking at in the event viewer.
The same behavior occurs however I attempt to open the tree view, either Alt+T, or through view or change layout.

Would you like to try two options:
1. Settings->Tree->Management: Show removable drives only with disk
or in the freecommander.ini: TreeShowRemovableWithDisk=1
2. Add the following line to the [Form] section of the freecommander.ini file:
TreeUseThreadForSubfolderCheck=0
The location of the freecommander.ini you can find under Help->About.
Before you change the file you must close freecommander.
