Crash with Syncplicity File Context Menu

#1 Post by funkist » 11.10.2018, 13:55

:?: My company is using https://www.syncplicity.com/ as a Dropbox alternative.
In FC, whenever I use the file context menu of the tool, FreeCommander crashes when the tool's dialog should close again. E.g. when sharing a file link, everything works until the finish button. Then the last dialog stays and FC hangs.

I am using FreeCommander XE 2018 Build 783 64-bit donor
on W7 Enterprise 64-bit Service Pack 1

On Windows Explorer, everything works fine.

Thanks for having a look!

Sorry, posted this incorrectly to FC public. Can an admin move it to FC donor, please?

Moved. -Dreamer

If you provide a crash report, generated by FreeCommander (usually have name fc_bugreport.txt) or from Windows event log, it will be much easier for developer to understand and fix the problem.

Hi Timon, Dreamer, I somehow missed your updates.

I have updated to FreeCommanderXE-64-donor_portable788, now.

There is still an issue, but rather than FC crashing when the tool closes, it now crashes when the tool opens.

Positive: the tool keeps running and I can complete my action, e.g. send a file to someone.
Negative: I have to restart FC each time

There is nothing current in FcExceptionLog.txt. So it's probably fairly low-level. But there are 2 events in the event log:

1)

Code: Select all

The first file referenced above is not existing. The 2nd is attached. Or, as I can't find the attach function, shared using Syncplicity:

Thanks!
