800 - Frequent screen redraws on This PC view

Running FreeCommander XE 2019 Build 800 64-bit donor on Windows 10 1903. The screen started redrawing the screen if I'm focused on "This PC," every few seconds for no reason I can detect. I'm sure it's scanning for new drives but I've never seen it do this until now. It's more obvious than hitting Ctrl-R to manually refresh the screen and it is very distracting. I doesn't happen when I've drilled down into a folder. I reinstalled version 800 (without uninstalling), in case I was running a slightly older version, but it made no difference.
