Problems opening with editor if spaces in filename

#1 Post by fjelsten » 27.12.2019, 19:41

Program:
C:\Progs\Utils\Notepad++\notepad++.exe

Parameters:
%ActivItem% or "%ActivItem%" (makes no difference).

Hitting the shortcut key F4 on a file with the name: "Fuji3513 - LOG.cube" gives me:
---------------------------
Create new file
---------------------------
"I:\Medie\Colorgrading LUTs_for_DaVinci\LUTs_for_DaVinci\Film Looks\Fuji3513" doesn't exist. Create it?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------

This tsarted happing a while ago (a month?)

This is probably a mistake.

Anyway, in 808 64-bit donor portable, with PSPad 5.0.1 (312) 32b - text editor, with %ActivItem% - text file "test one two three.txt", 4 tabs are opened in PSPad - all without content / empty.

With %ActivSel% and %AcceptOnlyFiles% it works good, even opening multiple items, they are opened in separate tabs, with content.

Perhaps the item %ActivSel% should be first in the list, so it would be more intuitive to use this option, or even add some note - "recommended", or "not recommended" for %ActivItem%.

BTW Which version are you using? If it's not the latest, try to upgrade - and always add a version in the topic title for bug reports.

Hello

Tried with ActiveSel in 810 - and this works - even with multiple files. Thanks.
