Navigating through removed folder displays twice the same popup error

#1 Post by Forez » 26.03.2020, 14:46

How to replicate:
1] Create folder X; for example on drive D
2] Enter folder X
3] Go back [above folder X]
4] Delete folder X
5] Go back using some "previous" function as if entering the now non-existing folder X

What happens? A pop-up window appears saying
The system cannot find the path specified
D:\X
So what is the problem, if it is the logical thus correct behavior. The problem is that after clicking the OK button, this messages re-appears - and so the user has to OK the same thing twice

One is enough

It was fixed and improved already, currently there is no error dialog in that case, it works good in the latest public version 810a.

Please respect the forum rules, add the FC version, Windows version and update FC before reporting a bug.

If you have a problem with the new version, you can use 2 separate versions, at least 1 portable.

Yes

In version FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public this is issue is completely gone- because there is no error box at all. FC is now simply omitting the no longer existing folder when navigating through its history

But it could be argued that this was an update one step too far- that there should be an error message [just one]. Or the user should decide if there should be such message

[That bug was happening in 770 32-bit public]
