Hello,
First of all, FreeCommander is a great piece of software.
I am running FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 840 32-bit public under latest (january 2021) Windows 10.
I have one-click open switched on. When I single-click on any item that is NOT the first in the list, folder or file in the FCXE list , then the file or folder is opened.
When I single click on the first item in the list item , either quickly or after the "hover" highlights the item, the filename is SOMETIMES changed into a highlighted blue background, white letters , allowing me to rename the file, when what I actually want to do is open the file or folder. Right -clicking the file or folder, and selecting "OPEN", correctly opens the file, using whatever app is associated with the file extension.
A problem is this is an intermittent problem with no apparent pattern of occurrence.
Screen shot.
Thanks,
Clive

Re: One-click. Selecting first item usually goes into "rename" mode
OK, I can reproduce it, in 841.
- use default settings
- use options: hot track only, 500 hover time, both open with single click options
- click first file to open it
- close external program
- click to free space
- click in the middle of the first file
= state is changed to rename
It's broken also if you use any file instead of the first one.

Once the update is released I will install it and feedback that problem has been fixed.
Great job. I will donate then.
Thanks
