There is only the default icon used in the details view. In Thumbnails view, the display of custom icons works

For me it works.
FreeCommander XE 2019 Build 792 64-bit donor

Check if you use "Extracted" option for the icons https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/Icons.html
