596 Speed/opening.
596 Speed/opening.
This version is very slow to start/draw windows+content, 595 was slow, this is even slower, is this a bug?

Re: 596 Speed/opening.
I can't confirm this. 596 is very fast here. It opens in ~1sec. I also like how 596 is opening directly maximized, without redrawing its GUI.
Re: 596 Speed/opening.
for me the speed works fine. It's the same as before, even though the file size is bigger (executable).

Here is a small video, not very good quality, but it shows what I mean.

Re: 596 Speed/opening.
the outer frame is faster and the content a little bit slower. Yes, I can confirm that. But it is not a problem or so.

But probably if I hadn't a combined ssd/hd hybrid, it would be more a problem. I don't know.

Re: 596 Speed/opening.
Ooooooo! The outer frame loads in a flash, which is very nice, and then it draws the controls very quickly - I can see everything just fine, for about 5 seconds, whereupon the entire window blanks out, then gets the "(not responding)" title in the titlebar, then the spinner-waiting icon for quite some time (a very long time if you happen to be waiting for it to open - I'd say around 30 seconds, at least). That's how it was the first several times I started it.
However, now, about the 4th and 5th times, it is rather faster to start. The frame opens instantly, then the toolbar partly show, then the toolbars fill out, then the folder panels appear, then the favourites panel loads.
It does start faster now, however than 595, and faster than itself after it was started/exited three or four times.
I am loading 16 tabs, 4 of them are network tabs from 2 different servers. Windows7 64bit with all visual effects and aero effects disabled.
And if I try to close it within a minute of its being opened, I get a message, "Please wait, network loading thread is active".

Exactly same situation here.BGM wrote:Ooooooo! Re: 596 Speed/opening.
There is a delay also when first clicking the Favorite tools icon, to show the menu with the items. It's about 4-5 seconds.
Re: 596 Speed/opening.
On initial display, 596 seems to unnecessarily alternate toolbar themes before settling down.
I first see what appears to be the default theme (with gradients), then my theme (flat, etc), then the default theme again, then my theme.
