option to set a standard "compare files" application

#1 Post by inglorious » 27.08.2012, 01:24

in Settings/Compare files one can assign an application for each file extension eg. .txt, doc, etc. in the Filter column
in order to compare each file type with the corresponding 3rd party application.

I desperately miss the option to set a standard "compare files" application (in my case a hex-editor)
to compare any other file type (*.*) if not defined already before.

I figured out a work-around for this. simply move the *.* filter to the bottom.
I believe this is a bug/limitation, the 'filter' position should be irrelevant.
