Reverting from beta to 2009.02b; want to save settings

I am going to uninstall the beta (XE 0.0.0.609) and install 2009.02b (I like FC; I'm just finding a couple too many quirks right now). I'd like to save all my settings/toolbar icons etc.

Is there a way to do this? Or do I have to start from scratch?

I don't know if it will be working, but why do you want older version? Xe has more features (except FTP and few more), more options, it's more customizable... Version 2009 has almost no support now.

Options I would check would keep on disappearing--I'd have to check them again and again...At this point I forget what else...

Probably you don't need to do anything because (as far as I know) FC-XE keeps its settings separately from FC2009. In other words, you can have both versions installed at the same time, each with their own separate settings. Then you can update FC-XE anytime you want, and it should carry over your existing FC-XE settings.

To answer your question specifically, just save a copy of your FC-XE settings folder. You can find its location in Help > About, then look in the Paths section.
