xe-629 Some info pane has opened up

#1 Post by vsrawat » 19.10.2013, 04:09

Yesterday I pressed some keys and the entire fc window has changed color and half the files of the current pane were not visible so I had to close and restart it, then the color become ok and all files became visible.

but a new pane is appearing having info about the selected entity.

I can slide the pane up and down but I don't get how to close it at all.

How do I close this pane. I don't want to slide it downwards to hide below the lower end. I just don't want it to remain open anywhere.

It is very unnerving that there is no x button or any option in toolbar, right click menu, main menu that would be obvious to handle it and would close this intrusion.

Thanks.

ok. got it. it was quick view panel opening up.

I could now close it using View menu option.

The problem is - the icon besides the "quick view panel" in the view menu didn't change when this panel had opened up, so I could not figure out whether that could be it.

I think you should copy this thread to "bug report" because shouldn't all menu items change state when that item is selected-unselected? :-)

In the pic, there is yet another band at the bottom of the fc window.

I don't remember whether it was this wide (tall) earlier), or may be it was.

What is the use of having such a tall this band? Does it give some information at some action?

Even right click is not available at this entire band. Right click should be there everywhere in the window.

How do I reduce this height of this band to a single line?
