Hello,
I noticed a problem with the latest version of FreeCommander: right click on a folder on a network share is locking the application.
In particular, what I see is this:
* I open a network share (UNC path) in one pane (e.g. \\server\myShare\...)
* Right click on a folder
* FCXE "hangs", showing the "busy" icon, and it is not responding anymore
* The context menu takes around 30 seconds to show
This is random: sometimes, the right click (and the context menu) is immediate. The same problem does NOT happen for local folders; it does NOT happen also if I map a network drive to the same UNC path. By the way, I have no problem in navigating the network folders (no lag, and no error)
Technical details:
* FreeCommander XE 2014 , version 658 (x64) donor
* Windows 8.1 64-bit
* Happens with default settings and without the plugins as well.
Thanks!!

Can't duplicate. Mine works fine, but I'm on Windows 7.

Try it with different options:

...mmmmm, actually selecting "Use FC for network loading" seems to "solve" this problem (or, at least, it happens less, or the timeout is smaller).joby_toss wrote:Try it with different options:
I wonder if this is a bug, actually, or not...
