When I access a folder and select all files with CTRL+A, when I press ENTER the tab goes to the parent folder.
I'd like to have all those files opened when I hit enter - this is what I'd expect at that point.
And by the way, can the warning "Should all the selected items be really opened (not recommended for large files or too many files!)?" be disabled? is there any option for that?
Thanks!
Select all files (CTRL+A) and ENTER
Re: Select all files (CTRL+A) and ENTER
This is absolutely normal behavior. When you open folder and select all files, cursor is on root (..) element of a folder. And when you press Enter - you go to parent folder. You have to move cursor on any of selected files to open them. So behave all file managers (tested in FC XE, Total Commander, Multi Commander). When I access a folder and select all files with CTRL+A, when I press ENTER the tab goes to the parent folder.

Find
By ENTER on multiple selected files
and select any action you need in such a case:
Open only focused item
Show warning before opening items <<<--- it is default option
Open all selected items directly (not recommended)
Re: Select all files (CTRL+A) and ENTER
Thanks Timon.
Maybe it would be possible to move this cursor on the first file when clicking with the mouse on the white area (where is nothing in that tab)? And then ctrl+a would select all files?
What I needed was a way to select quickly all files in a folder (of course, in that folder should be only files).
Anyway, not many people would find this useful...
Thanks again for your explanations.

Re: Select all files (CTRL+A) and ENTER
I guess the workaround here is very simple - you open the desired folder, click on the first file and just then do CTRL+A and ENTER. As long as you remember that you need to do one more 'step', i.e. clicking or moving down on the first file, then the process is still pretty quick in my opinion.afh wrote:Thanks Timon.

I think it's only my expectation that ctrl+a and enter would open all files... now I realize that my problem is stupid ...
I will remember that I must click on any file and then ctrl+a to select all files (moving down would mean that I should release the mouse, press the arrow... too much for me )
