Search filter is not visible enough - bottom is cut off

#1 Post by Forez » 27.10.2016, 14:36

As this clearly shows
Image
my filter box for Search window at the bottom is not shown entirely. Also the drop down history list is obscured as the "Deactive quick fitler" icon

I've tried tempering with settings of operating system [Windows 7 x64]
Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization > Window Color > Advanced Appearance Settings > Item >
going up and down in size for various elements, but it did not help

Please notice, that at the left side of the bottom, the text is shown A-OK

Also changing the size of search Window, or even maximizing it, did not help

Which text size are you using in Windows - 100% or 125% or more?

I can't confirm this, using 100% Windows text size and default FC settings, FC 730 64bit donor and 730 32bit public beta, Windows 10 64 bit.

• Try to reproduce a bug with default settings and without plugins. To do this use these command line parameters (your old settings file will be preserved):

/N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

Here's how it looks for me (Win 10 x64 AU, 100% scaling, 1920x1080 resolution, XE 730b x86 public - default settings, XE 730 x64 donor - custom settings):

I've forgot about that most profound OS setting: I'm running on 150%

And so, changing to 100% eliminates this issue completely

Of course I cannot revert even to 125%. So it is a bug, because no other software gives me such a problem on this 150%, nor it did when I was using 125% on a daily basis for over 2 years

And there is another issues coming out of using this 150% display setting:

There is an apparently working workaround: setting the size to 149%, which is available under the "Set custom text size (DPI)"
