[fixed] FCXE not opens Multiple Files in Default Program
744 brings improvements, but is still pretty buggy.
1) select a mix of file types
2) be sure jpg-file is the first file in the list
3) hit Enter --> some obscure "Print Pictures" dialog will appear

Re: 744 Default programs to open multiple files
Topic split.
Bug confirmed, jpg+png+txt. I can't reproduce it with jpg+png only.
FC 744 64 bit, Windows 10 64 bit.
It works good in 742.

Re: 744 Default programs to open multiple files
just found another issue
1) Plain view (Ctrl+B)
2) select a mix of different files
--- be sure at least one pdf is included
--- be sure you have files from different folders
-----> my virtual pdf-printer dialog (PDF24 Creator) starts up, but files are not opened
it seems as if some printing command is mistakenly triggered

Re: 744 Default programs to open multiple files
"Print Pictures" window is opened here.
Re: 744 Default programs to open multiple files
Looks fixed here, in 745. alf5000, please confirm.
Re: 744 Default programs to open multiple files
can't confirm flawless opening of files.
there is some remarkable improvement in 745, though.
opening multiple pdf-files from different folders brings an error message.
the first(alphabetically) pdf is opened but the rest can't be found.
BUT: if I also select another file-type (e.g. docx) in addition to pdf-files everything works correctly.

Re: 744 Default programs to open multiple files
Confirmed with 3 PDF files from different locations, in SumatraPDF 3.1.1 64-bit, FC 745 64-bit.
Re: 744 Default programs to open multiple files
thank you for confirmation!
outch, here it is again on 745!
the print dialogue of my virtual printer PDF24 Creator (note: it is NOT set the default printer) starts up, but the selected files are not opening.
once again to make it clearer:
I selected a bunch of files (mix of doc, docx, pptx, pdf) from various sub-folders and they didn't open correctly but the files where sent to a non default printer.
[edit]
note that there is remarkable improvement in 745.
in my test scenario (one folder with one-level subfolders) it works much better BUT in my real life scenario (files are wide-spread on disk and sub-sub-sub folders) there ARE issues.

Re: FCXE not opens Multiple Files in Default Program
FCXE_762 has problems when opening multiple files with different file formats (in normal view - I didn't test plain view).
if you select a combination of different files .docx and .pdf AND if the last file in the row is a .pdf some error dialogues come up (sometimes even a virtual pdf-printer dialogue starts). strangely enough after closing all those unwanted error messages all files open correctly in their default programs - most of the time.
[edit]
some further investigation showed that this BUG WAS RE-INVENTED with FCXE_748 whereas 747 does it correctly

Re: FCXE not opens Multiple Files in Default Program
763 does a better job as long as all selected files are in the same directory.
BUT:
1) use plain view
2) select various items from different folders
3) be sure at least one .pdf file is in your selection
3) hit ENTER
==> all files are sent to my virtual PDF24 Printer (by the way, PDF24 is not set as my default printer)

Re: FCXE not opens Multiple Files in Default Program
768 does a really bad job in this regard.
768 is not capable of opening multiple files (from different folders) by hitting Enter.

770 looks pretty promising, problems seem to be fixed!
thanks a lot!
