Save Window Size and Position

#1 Post by wrbird » 17.02.2019, 00:20

Just upgraded to Windows 10. Installed the latest version of XE Donor. Set my custom settings and saved. In Windows 7 when I sized and positioned the FreeCommander window it was saved and reopened in the same size and position. However, in Windows 10 it won't open in the same size and position. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks.

Which FC and Windows version are you using exactly?

E.g. FreeCommander XE 2019 Build 792 64-bit donor, Windows 10 64-bit 1809

Other settings are saved correctly? Where are your settings folder placed? (menu > Help > About... > Paths info > FreeCommander data).

I can't reproduce in FC 792 64-bit donor, Windows 10 64-bit 1803.

In addition to Dreamer's questions, do other applications have their window size and position retained?

Checked Firefox and it retains its position and size.

I just found the problem. When I let Windows snap to size then save FreeCommander settings it doesn't retain that position. However if I set the size and position without that snap, then save settings it works. So I'm good to go thanks!
