Search for file name ok

Search contained text: converter missing, are not taken from settings

worked in version 763 once - I can not reproduce.
The converter settings disappeared on restart. FC restart: only 1 tab (old version all tabs)
maybe the same reason

How to insert Sreenshot?

update on FreeCommander XE 2019 Build 798 64-bit donor

thanks, Marek!
I found and applied the instructions.
The search for contained text does not work anyway.

The settings for the converter have disappeared after restarting the FC.
Settings in the FC installation folder

Could you be more exactly. Give some example. Show your search dialog - what did you define?

If your installation folder is Windows "Program Files" - never use the folder for saving the settings.

The entry can disappear if the settings are not saved.
Open the Viewer with F3, define the Converter and then save the settings with Tools->Save settings.
Check if in the freecommander.ini you can find the section [TfcViewerForm_Converter] like:

Code: Select all

[TfcViewerForm_Converter]
Enabled1=1
Filter1=*.pdf
Prg1=C:\Tools\FCXE64\Conv\xdoc2txt.exe
TargetExt1=.txt
Param1=%ConvertSourceFile% >%ConvertTargetFile%

Thank you, Marek
now the entry in freecommander.ini succeeds with% ConvertSourceFile%>% ConvertTargetFile%

Code: Select all

[TfcViewerForm_Converter]
Enabled1 = 1
Filter1 = *.odt; *.doc; *.pdf; *.xls.
Prg1 = C: \\ portable programs \\ FreeCommander XE \\ Plugins \\ xdoc2txt.exe
TargetExt1 = .txt
Param1 =% ConvertSourceFile%>% ConvertTargetFile%
Pattern "% ConvertSourceFile%">% ConvertTargetFile%
from https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/Converter1.html
did not work.

successfully tested with * .odt; * .xls; *.pdf
