825 (reloaded) Donor

When deleting a zip file, FC uses the strings intended for folders instead of the strings for files.

Yes. Example: When I try to delete a zip file, FC shows dialog box with "Are you sure you want to move this *folder* to the Recycle Bin?"

Confirmed, with default settings, 825 64-bit, Windows 10 2004 64-bit, Shift+Del dialog, zip file.

It is Windows message, not FreeCommander.
Try the same operation in Windows Explorer.

Windows Explorer? Who in their right mind uses that when FreeCommander is available? :)

LOL. But seriously, I confirmed what you wrote, and you are correct.

I guess the options are to leave it as is (it's not a big issue) or have FreeCommander issue a more appropriate message of its own.

Archive can be considered as a folder, since it's the item with the files inside, as folder, I'm using the similar color for archives as for folders too, it's more intuitive.

Workaround is to use the option "Use FreeCommander" for Delete here:

https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/S ... neral.html

Or, when using Windows option, in the Recycle bin disable "Display delete confirmation dialog" option, no dialog, no problem. :)

I think it's not a bug, just a Windows behavior, moved to Discussion.
