We finally have a pup up window for situation like when we are trying to rename a file which we forgot is already opened is some other software- thus it is blocked [viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8190]
Thank you Marek for this upgrade - but here are my thoughts:
1] The Rename window does not have the "X" icon for closing of it
2] The Rename window should pop up always in the center of the screen - or at least the user should be given a choice where that window is to be placed [in the last remembered position of the screen or in its center]. It is simply annoying when the file in question is somewhere in the upper right corner but the rename window shows up in the lower left- if it would be always in the center then the user will know where to go immediately without thinking; as it is there where the first pop-up window will show up [the one saying that the there is some sort of blockade]. I view this dichotomy as inconsistent behavior
3] There is no need at all for two different windows to pup-up: first the one about a blockade and afterwards the Rename window. They should be merged into one window, as it would speed up the workflow and reduce the usage of left mouse buttons

Are there any supporters of these upgrades?

Rename window position is saved in 880 public and 889 donor versions.

Has not it always?
What I would like to do is choose for my own if its position between usages should be remembered or always centered

You can just move it to center and it will be always in center, or move it anywhere and it will be there, so you can choose it already.
To move a dialog directly to center, you can use HotkeyP or other similar tool.

And after every on-the-spot temporal movement I will have the opportunity to experience all that fun once again when I will have to move it somewhere else the next time.. Or in order to avert this, by re-aiming for center before pressing OK button; or to do automatically indulge with a third party tool, thus expanding the landscape of fun

I don't understand what exactly do you want.
If you want to place it in the middle, just place it there and don't change its position.
If you want to place it elsewhere, just place it there and don't change its position.
If you want to use more than 1 position, you'd have to switch the option every time, even if the option to change it would be added.

Yes you do
You just do not understand apparently how this inconvenience would be alleviated if after each and every such relocation from center of the screen to somewhere else this window would return automatically to the center in-between its openings
