FileContainer jumps to parent folder but only when using a custom .ini file

#1 Post by Dave F » 19.03.2024, 20:37

Hi
FileContainer jumps to parent folder but only when using a custom .ini file

Using latest freebie version.

I'm using two shortcuts to open two instances of FC.
My custom instance which is giving me the problem is launched by putting the path to the custom 'Camera FC.ini' file in the shortcut's path.

I right click on a folder tab>File Containers> Go to File Containers Folder.

I double click a file container file to open it & view the files (Thumbnail View as default).

A few seconds after interacting with a file (Right or double click on it to open it in Viewer) the file panel will flicker a couple of times, then go up to the parent folder 'FileContainers'.

Performing these actions with the default shortcut 'C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeCommander XE\FreeCommander.exe' it is stable with no problems.

is there any settings I should be looking to change in any of the .ini files to prevent this from occurring?

Are you using folder tree in the custom ini? If yes try without.
Otherwise send me your custom ini.
You use last 901 32 bit?

I am using folder tree.
Prompted by your comments I closed FT & the program.
Upon restarting I reopen FT & all seems to be stable.
I'll send the ini file if it reoccurs (I assume as I restarted, the ini problem was overwritten.)

Additional:
To double check I had the latest I clicked on 'check for updates' & it's now offering me 905 donor version.
Is this expected behaviour?
