Hide "Swap Panels" button issues

#1 Post by Fad » 08.11.2007, 23:46

Note: Split from other topic. -Dreamer

SplitterSmallHideSwapButton= allowed 0 or 1; default is 0

Thanks Marek...just tested that now, but it makes the button appear in a strange place....rather than disappear.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Still doesn't work here, should i use exactly this?

SplitterSmallHideSwapButton=1

to hide the button? And where exactly should I place it?

It`s working OK here now...

I did as you just said Dreamer, and I just put it as the first line.

Still doesn't work, I tried 1 and 0, I still can see that button and the line:

SplitterSmallHideSwapButton=0 (or 1)

...is removed when I close FC. :?

I'm using FC 298.

I know it sounds like a crazy question, but you aren`t editing the ini file while FC is open are you ?

I can only think of that :(

No, of course :D I said the other ini options work good. :wink: But it's not completely illogical question.

What problem do you have? Can you make a screenshot?
It works now fine for me. Define the line SplitterSmallHideSwapButton=1 in the [Form] section.

I did exactly the same, but...

...I still can see the Swap button, at the same place. I think this option should hide this button, but the button is still there, I don't think the screenshot would help.

I just tried it again with the default settings, just added that line, opened FC, but the Swap button is still there, at the same place. I have used these parameters:

/N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

- then closed FC, added that line to ini, opened FC (not with NewIni, of course) and...

...the button is not hidden.

Of course - the button is hidden only if the splitter is small.
Can you send me your ini file?

Hmm, OK this is the reason, but it should be working also if I use some splitter buttons, all splitter buttons are configurable, except this one - it's quite useless for me, I use keyboard shortcut and it's 'ugly'. The other button, as option (as already suggested) would be more useful IMO - close tab, or new tab button.

I can confirm it also with default settings, but let me know if you still need my ini.
