Tree following panes

#1 Post by ianlewis » 01.02.2011, 11:23

In XE - which I love - is there a way to prevent the tree view following the tab/panel focus?

For example, I have a lot of sub-directories, and if I have d:\temp in a panel, and want to copy a file to e:\movies, I would like to have e:\movies showing in the tree, so I can drag from the panel to the tree. But if I click on the d:\temp tab now, the tree reverts to the d:\ drive and the folders on d:\push the e:\ drive on the tree out of sight.

Is there a switch to disconnect the tree form the panels, so the tree will stay as you leave it? If not can that be a feature request?

Great work...

Check the new tree option "Follow external address changes" (release 525).

No matter how I set this option, the tree still follows and auto expands in relation to the selected folder in any panel.
