XE - how to use old favorite tools

#1 Post by Marek » 05.02.2011, 22:07

In FreeCommander XE release 525 you can use the favorite tools from the version 2009.02:
  • - In XE with Shift+Ctrl+Y open the "Define favorite toolbars" dialog
    - Create one new toolbar (you do not need any items in toolbar)
    - Klick on OK button to save the definition
    - The file freecommander.fav.ini was created (the same folder as freecommander.ini)
    - In one viewer/editor open the old freecommander.ini
    - Search the section [ToolsToolbars]
Example
[ToolsToolbars]
Tools=Tools
Tools2049=myTest1
Tools2050=TBar2
  • - Copy the section to the new freecommander.fav.ini (overwrite the content of the file)
    - Search in the old freecommander.ini all sections defined in ToolsToolbars and copy the sections to freecommander.fav.ini
    - From the example above the sections are: [Tools], [Tools_*], [Tools2049], [Tools2049_*], [Tools2050], [Tools2050_*] (* as wildcard)

Thanks. I found a bug(?).

I'll start a new topic in bug reports...
