892 - Wrong folder size in "Plain view - Folders" mode

#1 Post by Dreamer » 22.07.2023, 15:54

Bug from another topic, from this post:
Mr-Fly wrote: 22.07.2023, 15:03Main folders will not show all subfolder sizes, they will appear as 0 if there is no file in it directly.
example:
c:
---- temp --> 10 GB
---------folder 1 - 4 GB
---------folder 2 - 6 GB
But in the CTRL+Shift+B it will look like this:
temp = 0
folder 1 = 4 GB
folder 2 = 6 GB.
I can confirm it, to reproduce:
- create folder temp
- create subfolders folder1 and folder2 in folder temp
- copy some files to folder1 and folder2
- use option to show size of folders
- focus folder temp
- folder size is e.g. 10GB
- press Shift+Ctrl+B
= folder size is 0

FC 892 donor 64-bit portable, and 880 public 32-bit portable, Windows 10 22H2 64-bit.

It is not a bug, it is by design.
I will add an option for showing size with subfolders.

If this is to be an option [and not a mandatory change of behavior], then I would suggest making it by default be selected- i.e. dd size of sub-folders for their upper level folder
