R388 - Flat view - drag & drop doesn't work good

#1 Post by Dreamer » 16.10.2008, 23:10

Drag & drop doesn't work good in flat view mode.

- drag the file to another program (e.g. .avi to VirtualDubMod) doesn't work at all

- drag the file to desktop, to copy, copy the whole folder sometimes, sometimes it doesn't work at all

- drag the file to the other pane, to copy, doesn't work at all

FC R388, Win Vista.

Not so good in WinXP either. I tried to drag a copy of one file and the whole flattened directory went with it.

This was in a FAT32 partition

I used a small one to test it!!! :D

Thanks for confirmation. Workaround - press Ctrl+B and then drag.

F5 works all right anyway. I don't drag much because my mousefingers are slippery and I drop things ;)

I'm still trying to get used to dragging to tabs, I forget that I can LOL

Still not fixed in R389, it's even worse - drag and drop doesn't work at all now - even if the flat view is disabled!

It is fixed in XP. I tried dragging both ways, both with and without control keys. Also from/to different partitions, both FAT32 and NTFS. Not admin, but power user. I did have to manually refresh to see the moved/copied files.

OK, so it works, it doesn't work in NC mode only!
