Ghost files in Windows Desktop folder

#1 Post by cannonmc » 27.09.2024, 11:46

I am using Win7 and the old version of FC (purely because I prefer the appearance). I first installed it in 2010 and had few problems with it.

Recently I downloaded a couple of .mp3 files from youtube to my desktop.

When I opened FC to desktop I could highlight these files but do nothing else with them. No rename, no move, no copy, no play. All other .mp3 files on desktop acted normally.

These 'ghost' files acted normally in Windows Explorer, FC XE (yes, I have both), Everything file search program and play normally from those. They look normal in MediaInfo.

I was just curious if anyone might know what was going on. It is not important, just curious.

Thanks
